PETERSEN MEDIA- Sprint Car Racing is full of highs and lows, and for Ashton Torgerson he lived both in two nights of action at Eldora Speedway at the Four Crown Nationals.

“Eldora is one of my favorite tracks, and we had really good speed both nights,” Ashton Torgerson said. “Friday night I crashed pretty hard in the Dash and ended our night, but Saturday we came back with a car that was just as good and managed to come through the ‘B’ and finish fourth in the feature.”

After running 13^th at Lawrenceburg with High Limit Racing during the Midweek Money Series event, Friday night saw the scene shift to Eldora Speedway for the Four Crown Nationals.

Getting the weekend off to a great start, the Glendale, AZ driver timed in fourth fastest in his qualifying flight, and then proceeded to dominate his heat race as he picked up the win in convincing fashion.

Earning a spot in the Dash, Torgerson took the green flag from the outside of the second row, but his Dash was short lived as he was involved in a wicked wreck the third lap that ultimately brought his night to an end.

Able to walk away uninjured, Torgerson and the Shark Racing team were back in action on Saturday night, where the youngster lined up in the third row of his qualifier.

Finishing sixth, he was forced into the ‘B’, and from his front row starting position he was able to power his way into the Four Crown Nationals feature event, where he took the green flag from the 21^st starting position.

With a very good car underneath him, Torgerson was up into 16^th on the opening lap, and wasted no time breaking into the Top-10 as he powered his way into 10^th on the ninth lap.

As he continued to race through the field, the competition got tougher with each pass, but it didn’t slow him down as he worked towards the Top-5.

Getting into seventh on the 13^th lap, Torgerson moved into fifth on the 18^th lap, and then settled into fourth on lap 19.

Chasing after a spot on the podium, Torgerson would be unable to get into the Top-3 as he closed his night off with a solid 21^st-4^th effort.
