PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting his outdoor season kicked off over the weekend at the Dan Steffey Memorial which was hosted at Adobe Mountain Speedway, Ashton Torgerson had a solid weekend that saw him tally three podium finishes including a pair of runner up results at Saturday’s finale.

Running the both the Winged and Non-Winged divisions over the weekend, Torgerson’s weekend got off to a decent start as he went from 10^th to sixth in his winged heat race, but trouble in his non winged heat saw him slip from the front row to ultimately finish seventh after getting upside down.

 Lining up in the third row of his non-winged  ‘B’, Ashton Torgerson was able to work his way forward and tally a second place finish to keep his night alive as he moved into the feature event where he lined up 20^th.

More issues in the non-winged feature resulted in a DNF for Torgerson.

Taking the green flag from the 14^th starting position in the winged feature event, Torgerson had his elbows up as he carved his way through the field. Working his way forward in a hurry, Torgerson capped the winged portion of the night off  with a third place finish.

Returning to the track on Saturday night, Torgerson scored the win in his non winged heat race, which put him in the ninth starting position for the non-winged feature event.

Lining up from the fifth row, Torgerson made quick work of the Top-10, as he sailed into second on the 12^th lap and chased after his older brother, who had led from the onset.

Unable to get by his older brother, Torgerson settled for a second place finish in non-winged action.

In winged heat race action, a third place finish put Torgerson into the feature event where he lined up on the front row alongside Jett Barnes.

Setting into second as the race came to life, Torgerson was hot on Barnes tail. Just as he did in the non-winged feature, Torgerson was able to keep the leader in striking distance but was unable to get by.

When the checkered flag flew on the weekend, Torgerson capped it off with his second runner up finish of the night.
