Ashton Torgerson Has Strong Showing at 2025 Chili Bowl

PETERSEN MEDIA- Ashton Torgerson reunited with Keith Kunz Motorsports last week for the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals. Finishing fifth during his preliminary night feature, Torgerson just missed the Saturday night feature by one spot as he ran eighth in the Saturday night semi.

“Chili Bowl is a tough show, but I was really happy to have speed all week long, and flirt with locking into the feature during our prelim and then again on Saturday in the ‘B’, “ Ashton Torgerson said.

Hitting the track on Monday night for his preliminary night and his first shot to lock into Saturday night’s feature, Torgerson lined up on the pole of his heat race. With points the name of the game in prelim night action, it was crucial that Torgerson picked up the win.

Getting the jump, Torgerson looked very strong out front aboard his Safety Kleen backed entry. Picking up the win, Torgerson earned his max points available as he moved into a qualifier where he lined up in the second row.

From his fourth starting position, Torgerson continued to flex his muscle on the tight confines of the Sage Net Center as he powered his way to the win and safely locked himself into the opening night feature event.

Lining up fifth in the feature, Torgerson did not back down to the likes of Kyle Larson, Shane Golobic, and Cannon McIntosh as he battled hard inside the Top-Five for the duration of the 30-lapper.

Racing his way up to second around the midway portion of the race, tight knit racing saw Torgerson cap the feature with a fifth place finish which locked him into a Saturday night ‘B’ Main event, and in a great spot to earn a feature event transfer spot.

Watching and waiting for the rest of the week, Torgerson finally returned to the track on Saturday night as he took the green flag from the sixth starting spot in his ‘B’, with seven transfer positions up for grabs.

Star-studded ‘B’ Mains saw Torgerson take on some of the best in the world as they all took their shots trying to secure one of the top-seven positions.

When the dust settled on the semi-feature, Torgerson was on the outside looking in as he came up just short and finished eighth.
