PETERSEN MEDIA: The final weekend of War of the Wings slate came and went for Joel Myers Jr, and though the team came up short of their third consecutive series championship, the California native swept the weekend and tallied two more feature event wins.

“Unfortunately we had a couple of tough nights earlier in the season that we couldn’t overcome to win the title, but we were all extremely happy with the weekend we had and picking up two more wins together,” Joel Myers Jr said.

The final weekend of War of the Wings action kicked off on Friday night at Eastern States Speedway where Myers Jr set a new track record in time trials and picked up first and second place finishes in his heat races.

Finishing second in the Dash, Myers Jr lined up on the front row of the feature event which proved to be a problem for the rest of the field.

Getting the jump when the race came to life, Myers Jr set sail on the field and was never seriously challenged for the top spot. Leading the way from start to finish, Myers picked up the win, and drew himself four points closer to the series lead.

Saturday night’s finale at Nelson Speedway saw Myers, Jr and the Daniel Anderson Racing team get off to another strong start as he again earned fast time honors in qualifying before winning both of his heat races.

Lining up on the front row of the feature event, Myers Jr continued to have his dominant weekend as he flexed his muscle as soon as the green flag was waived. Again, powering to the lead, the Sebastopol, CA was very strong out front as he guided his The Ranch Bar and Grill/Suck It Up/FK Rod Ends backed No. 1NZ entry to his fourth win in 2025.

“We were extremely fast all weekend long, and though we came up short on the series title, we have a lot of speed with some really big and important races on the horizon,” Myers Jr said. “Thank you to everyone who continues to make this all possible.”
