Mariah Ede 13th at The Thunderbowl With NARC
PETERSEN MEDIA: As the season enters its final month stretch, Mariah Ede and her Mariah Ede Racing team were in action on Saturday night with NARC in Tulare, CA which also served as a tune up for the upcoming Trophy Cup.
“I didn’t really put my best foot forward, unfortunately,” Mariah Ede said. “It was a bit of a tough night for us and I am hoping we can redeem ourselves this weekend when NARC heads to Antioch, CA.”
Getting her night kicked off in qualifying time trials, Ede timed the Pacific Boring/M&L Plumbing/Circle J5 Ranch backed No. 14 in 16th quickest after going out very early in the qualifying session.
Lining up sixth in her heat race, the Fresno, CA driver was able to pick up a position as she raced into fifth. Finishing fifth, Ede found herself locked into the 15th starting position of the 30-lap feature event on the slick Thunderbowl Raceway surface.
From her eighth row starting position, Ede settled into 16th as the race came to life and she worked around the famed high banked speedway. Continuing to battle in thick traffic, Ede was able to work her way into 14th as the field was shown the cross flags at the halfway point of the race.
Continuing to hold down 14th, Ede chased after the likes of Chance Grasty and Max Mittry who battled hard in front of her. As the laps clicked down and the hour glass ran short, Ede took over the 13th position on the race’s final lap as she capped her night off in P. 13.
“I really want to thank my team for their hard work all night,” Mariah Ede added. “Hoping we can have a good night this week as we head to Antioch before we travel back to Tulare, CA for next weekend’s Trophy Cup.”
