Mariah Ede Set For Dave Bradway Jr Memorial After Pair of Tough Weekends
PETERSEN MEDIA: After back-to-back rough weekends, Mariah Ede is already looking forward to this Saturday night’s Dave Bradway Jr Memorial in Chico, CA at Silver Dollar Speedway.
“Unfortunately, the last couple of weeks have seen us get the short end of the stick in a couple of incidents that were avoidable,” Mariah Ede said. “It has been a disappointing couple of weeks but I am extremely thankful that my team continues to work hard and we are hoping things go better in Chico, CA this weekend.”
Returning to action on Saturday night at Santa Maria Speedway after a heat race incident resulted in a destroyed racecar back on April 24th, Mariah Ede got the night kicked off by timing the Pacific Boring/M&L Plumbing/Circle J5 Ranch backed No. 14 entry in seventh fastest in time trials.
Lining up on the front row of her heat race, Ede settled into second as she chased after World of Outlaws regular Carson Macedo. Continuing to hold down second, Ede looked to be on her way to very good feature event starting position until contact on the seventh lap ultimately relegated her to a sixth-place finish.
Finding herself back in the 16th starting position, passing proved to be extremely difficult on the hooked up and locked down Santa Maria Speedway surface.
In a feature event that turned a bit chaotic in the closing laps, Ede closed the night out in 13th and is looking forward to getting to Chico, CA for the Dave Bradway Jr Memorial this coming Saturday night.
