PETERSEN MEDIA- For the third year in-a-row Second Star to the Right Night will come to Bakersfield Speedway and the action is slated for Saturday night with the Western RacesSavers taking center stage for a can’t miss night of racing.
Second Star to the Right is Kern County’s resource for pediatric cancer families in their time of need. Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway there will be T Shirt Sales, Drawings, and an opportunity to make donations to benefit this great organization to go along with a great night of racing.
With a ton going on to help support Second Star to the Right, there will also be some special things going on for the Western RaceSaver Drivers as Monty Ferriera, driver of the 45 entry, and Tim Williams, owner of GWR have teamed up to make the feature event pay a cool $1000.
To go along with the added money to win, the driver that earns quick time honors will also be going home with a fresh Hoosier Right Rear Tire.
“Battling cancer really hits home for myself and has always been a really big deal, so when Monty Ferreira started promoting the Second Star to the Right Night race a few years ago, I have always been a supporter,’ Tim Williams of GWR said. “This year I have decided to play a bigger role and hopefully attract a bigger car count and a bigger crowd to really help raise funds for a great organization.”
Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway the grandstands will open at 4pm with racing slated to kick off at 6pm. Tickets are available the night of with Adults being admitted for just $15, Seniors and Military for $13, Kids 6-12 for $8, and those five and under will be admitted for no cost at all.
