PETERSEN MEDIA- Hitting five of the six ASCS Northwest Speedweek events on his way home from Dirt Cup, Jonathan Allard put together quite the body of work as he picked up five top-five finishes including two podium finishes with his Tri-C Motorsports team.

“We certainly would have liked to get a win in that stretch, but to put together that many consistent finishes in a row is huge for us, as we continue to get better,” Allard said.

Skipping the race in Yreka, CA, Allard kicked his ASCS Northwest Speedweek off on Monday night at the Southern Oregon Speedway near Medford, OR. With the draw format lining up heat races, Allard found himself in the eight starting spot of his heat.

On an extremely well prepared surface, the Chico, CA driver was able to rocket his way up to a third place finish, giving him enough points for the redraw, where the seven pill put him in the fourth row of the feature event.

The red flag was waived on the initial start, but when the field was given the green flag again, the race would then go 30-laps non-stop.

With the track being slick to a curb, Allard was able to make some great moves as he worked his way forward to a fourth place finish in the fast paced event.

Heading to the Coos Bay Speedway on Tuesday night, Allard lined the Tri-C Manufacturing/K&N/Red Line Oil backed No. 3c up in the third row of his heat race, and his fourth place finish was enough to get him into the feature, though not enough to earn a spot in the re-draw.

Lining up 13th on the small bullring, Allard had a stellar run through the field, as he was one of the few drivers who was able to gain many positions.

From the seventh row, Allard brought home a fifth place finish aboard the Platinum Powder Coating/KSE/Weld Wheels entry.

Hitting the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, OR on Wednesday night, and a second place finish in heat action saw Allard line up in the second row of the feature event.

With the top of the speedway being the preferred line on this night, Allard quickly moved up to the cushion, and began laying down some great laps, that saw him score a third place finish.

Following a day off, things heated back up on Friday night at the Cottage Grove Speedway where ‘JA’ lined up in the second row for the feature event.

A lap three caution then set up an uninterrupted feature event, and Allard battled with Logan Forler for the second spot, and again ended his night on the podium by way of a third place finish.

Saturday night brought on the final night of ASCS Northwest Speedweek, and after a thrilling run from eight to first in his heat race, Allard drew the six pill, putting him in the third row for the final night’s feature event.

In the feature event, Allard admittedly made some mistakes as he ran inside the top five all night long. Battling with the likes of Kyle Hirst, and Henry Van Dam, Allard closed his week out with a fifth place finish, and finished fifth in Speedweek points, despite missing the first round.

“The guys worked so hard, and it was a tough stretch going back to Dirt Cup and racing so many nights,” Allard said. “They did a fantastic job, and it shows with our results. I can’t thank Clyde and Marion Lamar for letting us get up here and have some fun for a couple of weeks, and now we look forward to getting back to California.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, K&N, ButlerBuilt, Platinum Powder Coating, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment and Hoosier Tire for their support.

2014 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-33, Wins-5, Top 5’s-16, Top 10’s-23.

ON TAP: Allard and the Tri-C Motorsports return to California and will be in action on Friday night with the Civil War Series before meeting back up with the King of the West Series on Saturday night, both at the Ocean Speedway where Allard has had tremendous success at this year.
