PETERSEN MEDIA- With the King of the West Series idle over the last weekend, Jonathan Allard and his Tri-C Motorsports team battled from 16th to finish fifth with the Civil War Series on Saturday night in Placerville, CA on the heels of finishing third at the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night.

“We continue to be pretty good, but Saturday night we really were in a deep hole after qualifying time trials, but were able to work our way forward in both the B and the A,” Jonathan Allard said.

Timing in 23rd fastest at the Placerville Speedway in Placerville, CA, Allard would finish fifth in his heat race, and be forced into the night’s B Main event. Lining up in the fourth row of the semi, ‘JA’ would go to work on the bottom of the speedway and claw his way to finish in the second spot and move into the night’s 30-lap A Main event.

On an extremely slick racing surface, Allard had his elbows up as he had a very strong Tri-C Manufacturing/Walker Performance Filtration/ButlerBuilt backed No. 3c on this night. Putting his car on the thick cushion, or in the middle of the speedway, or even on the bottom groove, Allard was able to make his way forward in a hurry.

As he got near the Top-Five, Allard would battle with the likes of Andy Forsberg and Colby Copeland as the trio jockeyed for position. When the checkered flag flew and the dust settled, Allard had worked his way up to finish in the fifth spot.

Friday night, Allard and company were in action at the Silver Dollar Speedway for a night of 410ci racing at the track Allard calls home. Timing in second quickest in qualifying time trials, Allard would finish second in his heat race to earn a spot in the nightly redraw.

Finding himself with the vaunted eight pill, ‘JA’ would grid the field from the fourth row for the 25-lap A Main event. On a tricky surface, Allard would quickly work his way up into the third spot as he battled with Andy Forsberg for the second position.

With the two battling hard, Allard would take the checkered flag with a third place finish.

“My guys have continued to do an awesome job day after day,” Allard said. “We have shown we can come through a field on a few different occasions, so now if we could have some luck on our side and not start deep in the field, I think we could start picking some of these races off.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, Walker Performance Filtration, ButlerBuilt, All American Powder Coating, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, AL Driveline, and Hoosier Tire for their support.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-28, Wins-6, Top 5’s-17, Top 10’s-18.

ON TAP: Allard and the Tri-C Motorsports team will again be at the Silver Dollar Speedway this coming Friday before heading to the Stockton Dirt Track on Saturday night to battle with the King of the West Series.
