PETERSEN MEDIA- After a tough night at Stockton Dirt Track, Andy Forsberg and the F&F Racing team are looking forward to a return to Placerville Speedway on Saturday after two weeks of being away.
“I just was not very good on Saturday night and let the guys down,” Andy Forsberg said. “It was slick, hard on tires, and I flat out struggled. After a couple weeks of venturing out, looking forward to getting back to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.”
Coming in off of a Top-10 with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour a couple of Saturday’s ago, Forsberg and crew were set to take part in the Jimmy Sills Classic at Stockton Dirt Track.
Running a draw show with each driver competing in two heat races, the Auburn, CA native would pick up fourth and eighth place finishes as he would move into the feature event and take the green flag from the 13th starting position.
From the seventh row, passing would prove to be challenging though Forsberg tried to make something work. On the 14th lap, Forsberg would spin off the back stretch and would keep his machine under power though opted to call it a night and head to the pits.
“Thanks to the F&F guys for working hard all night long,” Forsberg said. “They were much better than I was, and hopefully I can redeem myself this weekend.”
