Andy Gregg 14th at Placerville Speedway Leading Into This Weekend’s Nor*Cal Posse Shootout
PETERSEN MEDIA: Making his first start of the year with BrownEagle Racing at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night, Andy Gregg would have a bit of a tough night as he finished 14thin the feature event.
“I thought we had a pretty good car considering it was our first time together at Placerville Speedway, but I just let the team down,” Andy Gregg said. “Thanks to everyone for their hard work, I feel bad for not being able to get the job done.”
With 34 cars packed into the Placerville Speedway for the track’s regular season finale, and the final night to log laps before this weekend’s Nor*Cal Posse Shootout, Gregg timed in 16thfastest in qualifying time trials.
From the front row of his heat race, Gregg would fall back to second when the race came to life and eventually would finish in the third position, which proved good enough to lock him into the 25-lap feature event.
Taking the green flag from the 15th starting position, Gregg just wasn’t able to get going over the course of the race. With a couple of grooves offered up after some pre race track work, Gregg would search around but simply couldn’t get going.
When the dust settled on the final regular season race of the year, Gregg came home with a 14thplace finish.
“I am upset with myself, but am that much more motivated to do a better job this weekend,” Gregg said. “Can’t thank the BrownEagle guys enough for this opportunity, and am looking forward to our next race together.”
Andy would like to thank GUTS, Capitol ACE Hardware, Crane Inspection Agency, Sierra Ice, CTL Forest Management, Nail It Roofing, ARP Enterprises, Ervin Sales, Triple X, Wilwood, FK Shocks, FK Rod Ends, K&N, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Amerikote, Pony Express Service, Eagle Grit, and MF Inc. for their support in 2019.
