PETERSEN MEDIA- Sean Becker had a great night going on Friday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Though bad luck would find him halfway through the race, Becker would rebound from a flat tire to finish in the third spot.

“We were having a great night on Friday, but unfortunately we ran something over a cut a tire,” Becker said. “Dan Menne has made some great adjustments on the car and the engine, and our speed as of late is showing that it is working.”

Kicking the night off by setting quick time aboard his Mike’s Hard Lemonade/Cherry Street Mini Storage/Menne Ranch Hay Inc. No. 75 machine, ‘The Shark’ would finish in the third spot during heat race action.

Qualifying for the nightly redraw, Becker would pull the one pill, and put the Astro Titanium/Pony Bracket.com/Hunt’s Race World machine on the front row for the 25-lap feature event.

As the green flag dropped, Becker was shot out of a cannon as he quickly jumped into the race lead. With the race being slowed due to cautions in the early goings of the event, Becker would be very strong on restarts as he kept Colby Copeland and Jonathan Allard at bay, as he continued to show the way.

On the 15th lap, Becker would run some debris over getting into turn one, and would slide off the track, and bring out the caution. As he machine was fired back off, it was apparent he had a flat right-rear tire and he made a trip to the work area for repairs.

Making the call, Becker did an exceptional job of remaining calm, as he was able to carve his way back to the third spot at the conclusion of the 25-lap affair.

Hopping aboard the Friends and Family No. x1 machine on Saturday night, Becker and company headed to the Petaluma Speedway for the seventh round so Civil War Series Presented by Flowmaster action.

With 26 cars in the pit area, Becker got off to a great start as he set the standard in time trials, and earned quick time honors.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Becker would finish in the third spot, and earn a spot in the dash where he finished eighth and lined up in the fourth row.

Running inside the Top-10, Becker was admittedly out of his comfort zone as the Petaluma Speedway became choppy and rough as the night wore on. On a lap eight restart, Becker would get turned around while running in the seventh spot, and be forced to tag the back of the pack.

Tip-toeing around the tricky Petaluma Speedway surface, Becker was able to again overcome bad luck as he was able to work his way back to an 11th place finish.

“Saturday night the F&F Racing team gave me one of the fastest cars I have ever had at Petaluma,” Becker added. “Unfortunately as the track got rough through the dash and the feature event, I failed to find a comfort zone and was unable to deliver a finish this team deserved. I am really looking forward to the next Civil War event with this team to get our great results back on track.”

Becker would like to thank Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Cherry Street Mini Storage, Menne Ranch Hay Inc., Astro Titanium, Ponybracket.com, Hunt’s Race World, Molecule, Shaver Racing Engines, FK Rod Ends, and K&N for their support in 2015.
