PETERSEN MEDIA- Grabbing the reigns to the F&F Racing No. x1 machine on Saturday night with the Civil War Series in Petaluma, CA, Sean Becker would nearly set a track record in qualifying time trials before finish seventh in the feature event.

“We were really fast early, but in the feature event we had our nose wing collapse and it really made the car a handful,” Sean Becker said.

30-cars packed into the pit area for the penultimate Civil War Series event of 2015, and going out nearly last in time trials, Becker would earn quick time honors as he came oh-so-close to establishing a new Petaluma Speedway track record.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race on this night, Becker would finish in the fourth spot and safely move into both the A Main event as well as the Dash. Finishing eighth in the Dash, the Roseville, CA driver would grid the field from the fourth row for the 30-lap A Main event.

When the race went green, Becker was able to work his way toward the Top-Five on what was a rough and heavy Petaluma Speedway. Getting as high as the sixth spot, Becker would then find himself with a collapsed nose wing which made the handling on his car difficult form this point forward.

Still able to hold his own against a star-studded field, Becker would only lose one position while man handling his entry, as he would finish in the seventh spot.

“When the race got underway I thought we were going to be pretty good, but when the nose wing collapsed, I knew we were in for a long night,” Becker said. “Fortunately we were still able to come away with a nice Top-10. I have to thank Alan, Tooch, and everyone with F&F Racing for the opportunity.”

Becker would like to thank Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Cherry Street Mini Storage, Menne Ranch Hay Inc., Astro Titanium, Ponybracket.com, Hunt’s Race World, Molecule, Shaver Racing Engines, FK Rod Ends, and K&N for their support in 2015.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts- 43, Wins- 6, Top 5’s- 29, Top 10’s- 34
