PETERSEN MEDIA- Friday night Cody Lamar and his team traveled to Silver Dollar Speedway and put together a great night that culminated with Lamar finish sixth on a very fast Silver Dollar Speedway racing surface.
“It was a funky night with the weather and the smoke from the fires so the track never really went away and stayed fast all night,” Lamar said. “We were pretty good form start to finish and came home sixth.”
Lamar opened the night up by timing the Amsoil/Walker Performance Filtration/A1 Septic machine in sixth quickest in time trials, which would line him up on the front row of his heat race.
Racing his way to a second place finish on a lightening fast surface, the Sacramento, CA driver would move into the redraw where the five pill put him in the third row for the 25-lap finale.
With the track staying hooked up through the feature event, passing would prove to be tough with many of the front runners running at the same speed. Settling into sixth when the action came to life, Moore would spend his race battling with Sean Conde and Cody Hodgson.
Laying down some quick lap times, Lamar would go on to take the checkered flag in the sixth position to close out his Friday night.
“It was nice to get up to Chico, CA and have some speed,” Lamar said. “Looking forward to regrouping and getting back up there again this weekend.”
