PETERSEN MEDIA- Climbing back aboard the potent Tarlton Motorsports No. 21 machine over the weekend, Cole Macedo would be in the mix at Ocean Speedway all night long before settling for 10th, and was involved in an opening lap incident at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night that ended his night early.

“The Tarlton Motorsports car is really fast right now, and a ton of fun to drive,” Cole Macedo said. “I have to thank all the guys that work on it and give me a winning car every time out.”

Friday night at Ocean Speedway, Macedo was in attendance for the first time since picking up a win a couple of weeks back. Getting the night started by timing the Tarlton and Son, Inc./Executive Auto Sales/Pabco Gypsum backed No. 21 machine in sixth quickest in time trials, Macedo would charge from the second row to win his heat race.

Locking himself into the Dash, the Lemoore, CA pilot would pick up a fourth place finish placing him in the second row of the 30-lap feature event. On a slick racing surface, Macedo would make a couple of quick moves to get into second and soon begin pressuring Dominic Scelzi.

Hooking up in an absolute thrilling battle for the top spot, Macedo and Scelzi would exchange haymakers at both ends of the speedway as they fought for the top spot. Continuing to hound Scelzi, Macedo would then slip back to third before getting tight in the cushion and brining out the yellow with just a couple laps left in the race.

Restarting with no issues, Macedo would pick up a couple of positions as he brought his machine home with a 10thplace finish.

Saturday night, Macedo and the Tarlton Motorsports team made the trek to Placerville Speedway. Timing in ninth fastest in qualifications, Macedo would pick up the heat race win, which was pivotal as it locked him into the nightly redraw to set the main event line up.

Pulling the six pill, Macedo would roll off the starting grid from the outside of row three.

When the race came to life, Macedo would attack the cushion in turns one and two, and as the field rumbled into turn three and four, a car would get out of shape in front of him and it would result in Macedo getting upside down and ultimately ending his night.

“Saturday night was tough, wrong place at the wrong time,” Macedo said. “Still, thankful to the Tarlton family for allowing me to compete at both Ocean Speedway and Placerville Speedway over the weeked.”

The Tarlton Motorsports team would like to thank Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2019 season.
