PETERSEN MEDIA- Making one final start at his home track, the Silver Dollar Speedway, for the season, Mason Moore was disappointed with how things ended up for his F&F Racing team.

“It was kind of a bummer weekend for us,” Moore said. “We were running fourth on Friday and were forced to make a stop in the work area, and on Saturday we got collected in a couple of altercations.”

Opening the Fall Nationals up on Friday night, Moore would time the Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office/LRB Race Products No. X1 machine in 12th fastest before picking up a win during heat race competition.

The win propelled Moore and company into the night’s Dash where a fifth place finish would line the Princeton, CA native up in the third row of the feature event.

Taking the green flag from the third row, Moore would battle with the likes of Dominic Scelzi and Greg DeCaires until he was forced into the work area during a lap five caution.

Making repairs, Moore was able to restart but just was unable to get going forward as he would settle for a 17th place finish.

Returning to action on Saturday night, Moore would time in eighth fastest of the 26 guys that took time in his qualifying flight. Taking the green flag from the fourth starting spot in his heat, Moore’s fifth place finish would send him into the 40-lap Fall Nationals feature event.

Lining up in the 20th spot, the back of the pack was not where you wanted to be. Getting involved in a couple of incidents, Moore’s night would come to an early end as he was credited with a 19th place finish.

“It certainly wasn’t what we had hoped for going back to my home track,” Moore added. “We will take a weekend off and gear up for the big Placerville Shootout next weekend.”

Moore would like to thank Coors Light, Econo Lube and Tune, Geico Local Office, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, ITC Service Group, Saureel, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.

ON TAP: Moore and the F&F Racing team will be back in action on October 14th and 15th when they return to Placerville Speedway for the NorCal Posse Shootout pres. by Autism Awareness.
