PETERSEN MEDIA- Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing are hitting on all Cylinders as the Summer season slowly turns to fall. Saturday night, Forsberg and company would return to action in Placerville, CA and score their third consecutive victory in as many weekends and for Forsberg it was personally his fourth consecutive win after putting the family car in victory lane on Friday night in Chico, CA.

“Patience is huge in this sport, and I think our 2018 season is a prime example of that,” Forsberg said. “We really struggled the first few points races at Placerville and with the SCCT, but we continued to work at it, play with some stuff and seem to have hit the nail on the head. It’s been a great month for this team and I look forward to keeping it going.”

Winning the last point race at Placerville Speedway two-weeks ago and then stopping in at Petaluma last week to capture a win, Forsberg and F&F Racing opened Saturday night up by timing the Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes/Geico Local Office/PitStopUSA backed No. 92 machine in third fastest in time trials with 24 cars checked into the pit area.

Finishing second in his heat race after lining up in the second row, Jimmy Wall would pick the three pill for Forsberg during the redraw which placed the current point leader in the second row for the 25-lap feature event.

Jumping into second when the race came to life, Forsberg would challenge leader Billy Wallace in the early goings but to no avail. Following an extended red flag on the eighth lap, Forsberg would battle with Wallace for the top spot again, but would now feel pressure form Justyn Cox for the second spot. Losing the spot, Forsberg would actually be rescued by a yellow flag on the 14th lap.

Starting alongside Wallace on the double file restart, Forsberg would get racy when the green flag was displayed as he surged into the race lead and never looked back. Flawless in the final laps, Forsberg would go on to pick up his sixth win of the season with F&F Racing and his 12th overall in 2018.

“We battled for a while, and then I finally got it together on a late restart and we were able to win,” Forsberg said. “It was a great track, and a great night of racing. Have to thank all of the F&F Racing guys and sponsors for all their effort and support.”

F&F Racing and Andy Forsberg would like to thank Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes, Geico Local Office, PitStopUSA, Lucas Oil, Pacific Highway Rentals, Autism Awareness, FVP, and CRV Carbon Solutions for their support in 2018.
