Faccinto Follows Placerville Win Up with Third Place Finish

PETERSEN MEDIA- Fresh off of his first win of the season with F&F Racing, Michael Faccinto followed that performance up with a third-place finish on Saturday night as he quickly turns his attention to this weekend’s Mark Forni Classic.

“Saturday night was another great night for the F&F Racing team at Placerville Speedway,” Michael Faccinto said. “Alan Bradway have really been clicking the last couple of weeks, and it has given me the confidence to go out and run hard.”

For the second consecutive week Faccinto set the standard in time trials as he earned ADCO Fast Time honors aboard the C&H Motor Parts/Lucas Oil/Geico Local Office No. x1 entry.

Lining up fourth in his heat race, the Hanford, CA driver would handle business as he jumped into third and solidified a transfer position into the 25-lap feature event.

Also earning a berth in the redraw due to his time trial efforts, Faccinto pulled the four, and put the F&F Racing entry in the second row on the starting grid of the feature event.

A slick surface that offered both a top and bottom was presented to the field for the ‘A’, and Faccinto would maintain fourth during the first half of the feature event.

Chasing after Dylan Bloomfield who ran in third just ahead of him, Faccinto would capitalize on a mistake from Andy Forsberg and power his way into third.

As the leaders got into traffic, a yellow would pause the action and give the leaders clear track for a short sprint to the finish. When the race came back to life, Faccinto closed in on second running Bloomfield and as he tried to get into the runner up position, as they encountered traffic again.

In the final laps, traffic would block the racing surface and it turned into a three-horse race to the finish as the top three battled with nowhere to go.

With the checkered flag in the air, Faccinto picked up his second consecutive podium finish of the year as he finished third and has ample momentum heading into this weekend’s Mark Forni Classic.

“It has been a blast working with these guys for the last few months, and it has been great getting this thing back up front for them,” he added. “We have a great understanding of the car and what it takes to get me comfortable and I think we have a great package heading into this weekend’s big race.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Lucas Oil, Geico Local Office, Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Pacific Highway Rentals, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing will be back in action on Saturday night in Placerville, CA.
