PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night the lights shined bright on Placerville Speedway for the 30th Dave Bradway Jr Memorial featuring the SCCT and the KWS, and when all was said and done, Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing picked up a fourth-place finish in SCCT action.
“It was actually a pretty good night for us in the 360ci,” And Forsberg said. “If I was decent that means the car was good, so kudos to my guys for really working hard over the last week.”
Earning quick time honors in his qualifying group aboard the C&M Motor Parts/Bushey Financial Services/PitStopUSA backed machine, Forsberg would lien up fourth in his heat race.
Finishing fourth, Forsberg would advance into the High Sierra Industries Dash where his fourth-place finish there would again line him up fourth in the 35-lap feature event.
On a very slick racing for the 35-lap feature event, Forsberg would spend the duration of the race battling inside the Top-Five as he raced with the likes of Kalib Henry, Michael Faccinto, Tanner Carrick and Ryan Robinson.
In a very hotly contested feature event, Forsberg would get as high as second as he chased after Justyn Cox until the 19th lap when he slipped back to third.
Looking to keep the F&F Racing machine on the podium, a hard charging Ryan Robinson would sneak by the veteran standout coming out of four with just 10-laps left in the race to put him back in the fourth spot.
Running in fourth for the final 10 stanzas, Forsberg capped his night off with a fifth-place finish.
“We have really lacked grip in the slick all year, and Saturday night felt like it was a positive step for us with how slick it was,” Forsberg said. “Again, thanks to my guys, and looking forward to some Petaluma Gumbo on Saturday night.”
