PETERSEN MEDIA- Spending her Saturday night making her debut at the Knoxville Raceway in preparations for the upcoming 360 Nationals, Harli White and her Harli White Racing team were able to make the feature event, and get some valuable seat time.
“It didn’t go how we had hoped, but we were able to get a lot of laps there, and get some good notes for the Nationals,” White said.
On a lightening fast race track, White was a tick too tight in time trials as he ended up 25th fastest against the 34 cars checked into the pit area.
Starting seventh in her heat race, White experienced power steering issues a few laps into the race, and was unable to get moving forward, as her seventh place finish put her in the third row of the night’s B Main event.
Getting into the fourth and final transfer spot when the green flag waived on the B Main, White was able to hold the spot, and make her first feature event, in her first start at the ‘Mecca of Mud’.
Lining up 20th in the A Main, White again had her hands full with a tight racecar, but she didn’t give up, as she searched around the speedway, taking advantage of more laps under her belt at the speedway, as she ended with a 20th place finish.
“I think we did learn some things from this, and I think it helped us out having to go through the B Main,” White said. “We got the most laps possible under our belts, which was huge for me, and I think we can make some adjustments that will help us out in a couple of weeks.”
