PETERSEN MEDIA: Heading to the Crawford County Speedway on Saturday night aboard the Van Dyke Motorsports No. 5h machine, Dakota Hendrickson would pick up a win during the Last Chance Showdown before finishing 20th in the main event with the World of Outlaws.
“The track was tough to pass on in the feature event, but it was good to get through the B and make the main,” Hendrickson said.
Taking to the Crawford County Speedway in Dennison, IA, Hendrickson would time the Lucas Oil/K&N Products/JRI Shocks in 27th overall, but with the new World of Outlaws format in play Hendrickson would be 12th fastest overall in his flight.
Lining up in the third row of his heat, Hendrickson would battle with Tim Kaeding for the fifth and final transfer spot into the feature event, and with Kaeding getting the better of him, Hendrickson would finish in the sixth spot, and take a trip to the B Main.
From the front row of the B, Hendrickson would get the jump over David Gravel and lead the duration of the race as he would pick up the win and move into the feature event where he would grid the field from the 11th row.
On a track that was difficult to gain ground on, Hendrickson would run a smart race and end his night with a 20th place finish.
“I have to thank Harley Van Dyke and his team for their hard work,” Hendrickson said. “This team has been working hard all year long, and I am hoping to start giving them the finishes they deserve.”
The Van Dyke Motorsports team would like to thank Lucas Oil, K&N Products, JRI Shocks, NAAKE Suspension, FSR Radiators, for their support during the year.

ON TAP: Hendrickson and the Van Dyke Motorsports team will return to action this Saturday and Sunday night at the Knoxville Raceway and the Huset’s Speedway.
