PETERSEN MEDIA- Traveling to Eldora Speedway for Four Crown weekend, Ian Madsen would finish 13th with the World of Outlaws on Friday night before a seventh place finish on Saturday night with the All Star Circuit of Champions.

“It was a tricky track all weekend long,” Ian Madsen said. “I think we were good enough to be in the Top-10 on both nights, but I had a bad double file restart on Friday night that set us back.”

Battling with the “Greatest Show on Dirt” Friday night at the famed Ohio Speedway, Madsen got his night started off by timing the Logan Contractors Supply Inc./Aspen Aire/Royal Flooring No. 18 machine in fifth quickest during his time trial flight.

Running third in his heat race, the Knoxville Raceway Champion moved into the feature event where he took the green flag from the ninth starting position. On a slick surface, Madsen held his own in the Top-10 as the race moved along.

A late restart would bunch the field back up and Madsen would have a little bad luck as he would get shuffled back. Falling out of the Top-10, Madsen closed the night out with a 13th place finish.

Back at the ½ mile again on Saturday night, Madsen would time in sixth quickest before finishing fourth in his heat race. Moving to the feature event, Madsen had his work cut out for him as he took the green flag from the 14th starting position.

With the track extremely slick again, Madsen would do a nice job of running a patient race as he crept into the Top-10. As he continued to work around the Eldora Speedway, Madsen would take the checkered flag with a seventh place finish.

“It was good to get back to Eldora and race with the All Stars and the Outlaws,” Madsen added. “We have a big weekend of racing coming up in PA, so we will try to keep doing what we have been doing and see if he was stay up front.”

Ian and his KCP Racing team would like to thank Logan Contractors Supply Inc., Aspen Aire, Royal Flooring, Bobcat, Team Kline Electric, Greenland Homes, Team Excavating, TammyHeckart.com, Finer Cuts Lawn and Landscape, Des Moines Area Roofing, Quality Traffic Control, Bergen Paulsen, Coverage Direct, Monarch’s, and Revolution Race Gear for their support this season.
