PETERSEN MEDIA- Jonathan Allard and his Tri-C Motorsports team took part in the Silver Dollar Speedway’s final weekend of racing of the 2015 season, and Allard would finish fifth in a weekend that honored it late brother, Stephen.

“It is a race that definitely means a lot to me and my family, and to run well during both night’s was great.,” Allard said. “I would have loved to have gotten a win, but it wasn’t in the cards.”

The two-day event kicked off on Friday night, and Allard would time the Tri-C Manufacturing/K&N/ButlerBuilt No. 3c machine in fifth fastest during his flight of qualifying.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Allard would finish in the second spot behind Willie Croft, and find himself in the sixth row of the opening night feature event.

On a picture perfect Silver Dollar Speedway surface, Allard was able to work his way forward as most drivers used the bottom of the speedway. Working his way up to the fourth spot, Allard would find himself battling with Carson Macedo and Tyler walker until a late yellow flag waived.

A restart would see Allard fall back to the fifth spot as a surging Kyle Hirst made the high-side work, and he would then battle with Andy Forsberg in the closing laps. In what was a drag race to the line, Allard would close the opening night of the Fall Nationals in the sixth spot.

Back in action on Saturday night, Allard would time his entry in seventh fastest in his flight before racing his way to a heat race win, and earning a place into the night’s Dash.

Pulling the eight pill, Allard would end up finishing seventh in the Dash, and would line up in the fourth row for the 40-lap A Main event.

Able to get as high as the third spot during the course of the race and chase after second running, Shane Golobic, Allard would again have his hands full with Andy Forsberg just as he did on Friday night.

With Forsberg able to find a hint up rubber up top in turns one and two, he would get the spot, and Allard would fall back to the fifth spot, where he would eventually close out the night.

“It was wild on Saturday night with the wind, but I thought the race track stayed in pretty good shape, and I think the fans got a great show,” Allard said. “I want to thank my team for everything they do for me, and thank everyone who went above and beyond to make this weekend special.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, K&N, ButlerBuilt, Amerikote, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T.
