PETERSEN MEDIA- Battling with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour on Saturday night in Placerville, CA, Jarrett Soares would have a tough go and is quickly looking to put the night behind him.
“It was just a tough night all around that started with a mechanical issue in time trials,” Soares said. “We were able to get a lap at the end but it would ultimately make for a pretty long night.”
Timing his American Tool & Mfg./C&H Veteran Enterprises/Performance Powder Coating backed No. 12 machine in seventh fastest in his qualifying group, the Discovery Bay, CA driver would line up in the fourth row for his 10-lap heat race.
Laying down some nice laps in his heat race, Soares would work his way up as high as the fifth spot as he got to battling with Andy Gregg, Willie Croft, and Michael Ing. Slipping back to finish seventh, Soares would be forced into one of the twin ‘C’ main events on this night.
In the ‘C’, Soares would get collected in an early tangle and the damage to his drag link, and muffler would ultimately bring his night to a very early end.
“We just were not at our best on Saturday night, and it made for a quick night,” Soares added. “We will put it behind us, and get back to work with the KWS on Saturday night in Tulare, CA.”
