PETERSEN MEDIA- As Mother Nature slowly lets racing take place in the Midwest, Tim Kaeding and his Lunstra Motorsports team continue to gel and show great speed, as TK ran second with the National Sprint League on Friday night before finishing fourth at the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night.

“We have awesome cars, and our motors are running great,” Kaeding said. “We are starting to get some racing in, and that is allowing us to showcase the Lunstra Motorsports team.”

Friday night Kaeding and the Lunstra Motorsports took to the Jackson Speedway in Jackson, MN for the Jackson Nationals, which paid a hefty $10K to win.

With 35 cars in the pit area, Kaeding timed the Dammer Trucking/Folkens Bros. Trucking/Sioux Falls Ford No. 3 in fourth fastest, putting him in the first heat where he would run in the fourth spot.

Lining up in the second row for the eight-lap dash, the San Jose, CA driver would work into the second spot, putting his machine on the front row for the 25-lap A Main event.

With the early goings of the feature event being plagued to cautions, Kaeding would find himself in the second spot as he chased after early leader, Terry McCarl. When the race got going, the track would take a little rubber, and with another competitor finding it first, TK would slip back to the third spot as he quickly went to school.

A late caution saw race leader, Billy Balog, lose air in his tire, and as the race came back to life, Kaeding would make quick work of Balog as he and McCarl waged war for the top spot.

At the checkered, TK would cross the stripe with a second place finish, and would also take over the series point lead by 56 points heading into two nights of racing this week.

Saturday night, Kaeding and his team returned to the Knoxville Raceway a week after having some rough luck. Timing in sixth fastest of the 33 cars in the pit area, TK would finish fourth in his heat race, putting him in the third row of the feature event.

All race long, TK would battle with former Knoxville Champions, Danny Lasoski, and Kerry Madsen as he raced inside the Top-Five. As time ran out on the feature event, Kaeding would finish fourth, as he sits third in Knoxville Raceway Championship point standings.

“The more we race, the better we are getting, and I think that is showing,” TK added. “This whole team is a joy to be around, and I can’t thank Dave Lunstra enough for this opportunity. We are in the game, and I feel that our first win is just around the corner.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Dammer Trucking, Folkens Bros. Trucking, Sioux Falls Ford, Yager Agriculture Supply, Matt’s Repair, Octane Ink, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will return to action with the NSL on Thursday and Friday night at the St Francis County Raceway and the Randolph County Raceway, before returning to the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night.
