PETERSEN MEDIA- Picking up two Top-10 finishes with the NSL during the Jackson Nationals, Tim Kaeding picked up another NSL podium finish as he finished second at the Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD.

“I tried to save my tires there and lost a couple of spots, but I think it helped us at the end of the race,” Kaeding said. “We were really good, and I think we would have had something for Brown if the rubber didn’t go down.”

Timing the Dammer Trucking/Folkens Bros. Trucking/Sioux Falls Ford No. 3 machine in seventh fastest, TK would surge from his second row starting position to win his heat race.

Earning a spot in the redraw, the San Jose, CA native would find himself with the six-pill, and in the third row for the 35-lap feature event. Getting off to a great start, Kaeding would find himself in the third spot by the third lap when the caution flag flew.

As the race came back to life, Kaeding would work into the second spot as he began his pursuit of race leader, Brian Brown. As the rubber started to go down on the speedway, Kaeding would continue to work the top-side of the speedway, and slip back to the second spot as Dusty Zomer used the rubber to overtake the second position.

Following a lap 26 red flag, Kaeding would serious challenge Zomer for the second spot, and would reclaim the position on the 29th lap, and give chase after the race leader for the race’s final six circuits.

Knowing he had some tire left, Kaeding would give it all he could to track down Brown, but he would come up short as he closed the Labor Day Weekend out with a second place finish.

“I have to thank everyone who continues to work on this car,” Kaeding said. “The wins have not been there, but we have been getting better race after race. I am really excited for this weekends race, and hope we can get up on the wall at the Eagle Raceway and grab a win for Dave Lunstra and this team.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Dammer Trucking, Folkens Bros. Trucking, Sioux Falls Ford, Yager Agriculture Supply, EMI, Matt’s Repair, Octane Ink, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will be in action with the NSL on Friday night at the Eagle Raceway in Eagle, NE and on Saturday night at the Cedar Lake Speedway.
