PETERSEN MEDIA- San Jose, CA driver, Tim Kaeding, had a strong showing with the Nationals Sprint League over the weekend that culminated with a third place effort at the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night.

“We had great speed Friday and Sunday night, and I am very happy we landed on the podium at Huset’s,” Tim Kaeding said.

Timing the Dammer Trucking/Folkens Bros. Trucking/Sioux Falls Ford No. 3 machine in 11th fastest at the Huset’s Speedway, TK would then race his way to a heat race win from his second row starting position.

Finding himself in the Top-8 redraw, Kaeding would pull the four-pill and would line up in the second row for the 35-lap A Main.  Getting off to a nice start, Kaeding would jump on the loud pedal as he moved into the third spot by the fourth lap.

Chasing after Dusty Zomer and Danny Lasoski, the early part of the race would be slowed by cautions. With the race’s final caution coming on the ninth circuit, the final 26 laps would run nonstop, and fans would be treated to some great racing as TK and Lynton Jeffrey exchanged the third spot on a pair of occasions before Kaeding honed in on second running Lasoski.

Grabbing the position on the 28th lap, Lasoski would return the favor on the 29th lap while battling in dense traffic. The final six laps saw Kaeding make a valiant effort for the second spot, but would come home short though he would stay on the podium.

“I think we had a car capable to win, but the driver fell out of the seat trying to hard,” Kaeding said. “I have got to thank everyone who works on this thing, and was hoping to get the win for them, but I came up short.”

While in action at the Fairmont Raceway in Fairmont, MN on Friday night, Kaeding would rebound from an early issue that saw him bring out the yellow flag and battle back through the field to finish in the 12th spot.

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Dammer Trucking, Folkens Bros. Trucking, Sioux Falls Ford, Yager Agriculture Supply, EMI, Matt’s Repair, Octane Ink, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will be back racing with the NSL this weekend as they will be at the Randolph County Raceway on Friday, Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, and Angell Park Speedway on Sunday.
