PETERSEN MEDIA- Two-Time and defending King of the West Champion, Kyle Hirst, is set to go after his third consecutive King of the West Championship in 2015 aboard the Main Motorsports No. 35M machine.
“I am really excited for the season ahead, and to team with Main Motorsports,” Hirst said. “I also have to send a huge thank you to Dennis and Theresa Roth, as well as the entire Roth Motorsports team for the opportunity they gave me over the last two and a half seasons. Unfortunately it was not in the cards to keep going, and I do wish them well in 2015.”
Coming off of a very strong Australian season with the Monte Motorsports team, that included claiming the 2015 Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic, Hirst is set to make his debut aboard the Main Motorsports machine during the King of the West season opener March 13th and 14th at the Thunderbowl in Tulare, CA as the series competes alongside the World of Outlaws.
The team is also set to compete in the remaining World of Outlaw races as “Greatest Show on Dirt’ spends six-weeks in the Golden State, and will also compete in various races through the season as the KWS has breaks in their schedule.
As fans have seen in years past, Hirst will also compete on occasion with the Finley Farms Raing No. 77f team. Having success with that team in season’s past, Hirst is also excited to continue that relationship in 2015.
“I am very fortunate of the opportunities that have been put in front of me, and I am looking forward to getting this season underway,” he added. “Coming from a pretty successful stint in Australia, I am looking forward to getting back to racing, and am hopefully we can be strong right out of the box.”
