HG7A1290

PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting off to a slow start on Saturday night in Red Bluff, CA, Aiden Larimer would keep plugging away as he battled from the ‘B’ Main to finish second in the feature by just .027 seconds.

With 21 Beginner Box Stocks checked in at the Tehama County Fairgrounds on Saturday for another round of action at the ultra competitive indoor facility, Larimer would get off to a slow start as he timed the Cornaggia Farms/Stone Motorsports/Mark Sutton Construction machine in 10th quickest in qualifying time trials.

Having a tough go in his heat race, the Merced, CA driver would slip back from his third starting position and ultimately finish in fifth and be forced into the night’s “B” main event.

Lining up 10th in the semi, Larimer would work his way forward and get close to a transfer spot before getting into a wreck with just five laps left in the semi. Able to restart, the youngster would put on a show in the final five circuits and storm back to finish fourth and keep his night going.

Moving into the feature event, Larimer would grid the field from the 12th starting spot. Just like he did in the final five laps of the semi, Larimer would be impressive from the back of the pack.

Passing cars seemingly at will, Larimer showed he would be a factor in the feature in the closing laps. Working up into second in the race’s final laps, Larimer would make a bid for some last lap heroics as he brought the crowd to their feet at the finish line as he would just come up .027 seconds short of the win as he settled for second at the stripe.

Larimer would like to thank Cornaggia Farms, Stone Motorsports, Great Grandma and Grandpa Rocha, Mark Sutton Construction, Pro Vinyl Graphics, Van Lare Steering Repair, D&L Pump, Guthrie Racing, Uncle Ron, Larimer Family, Margie, Nana and Papa Motorsports, T&T Racing, Doug Lockwood, De Martini Bartending, Pugliese Family, Auntie Mary Motorsports, Nana and Papa, Orozco Gates, Grandma Estell, B’s Racing, Burris Tires, and Petersen Media for their support this season.
