PETERSEN MEDIA- Aiden Larimer has gotten off to a red hot start in Red Bluff, CA this fall as the youngster claimed his third consecutive Beginner Box Stock win during the track’s third race of the season on Saturday.
With 22 Karts checked in the pit area for the Beginner Box Stocks, Larimer would fight a brake issue as he ended up timing the Cornaggia Farms/Stone Motorsports/Mark Sutton Construction backed No. 5 in seventh quickest in time trials.
Able to get the issue fixed prior to heat race action, Larimer would spend most of the race running in the second position. With the white flag in the air, Larimer was able to get a run on the high side and race his way to the heat race win in exciting fashion.
Lining up in the third row for the feature event, Larimer would move into the third position by the eighth lap. Moving into second a couple of laps later, the yellow flag would fly and the Merced, CA driver would catch the leader sleeping and he would beat him to the yellow flag and take over the race lead.
Back under green flag racing conditions, Larimer was extremely strong out front though his closest competitor in points would stalk him during the final laps. With a wreck breaking out in front of Larimer on the race’s last lap he would do a nice job of avoiding the fray as he made it back to the checkered flag cleanly and scored his third race win of the season.
