PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA to take on the World of Outlaws over the weekend, Carson Macedo showed a ton of speed aboard his Elite Landscape Construction/WFO Apparel/Tarlton and Son, Inc. entry, but racing incidents held him back from the results he was hoping for.

“We had great speed all weekend, and qualified pretty well, which is huge with the World of Outlaws,” Carson Macedo said. “I made a mistake in the feature on Friday night, and on Saturday I got caught up in a pile up.”

Friday night, Macedo timed the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino/Executive Auto backed No. 21x machine in fourth fastest amongst the 46 cars checked into the pit area, and went on to finish third in his heat race.

Qualifying for the dash, Macedo would start in the fourth spot, and finish third, putting him in the second row for the A Main. On a heavy and rough racing surface, Macedo got into the turn three cushion and little too hot when the race got underway, and it resulted in him getting his machine upside down, and his night came to an early end.

Bouncing back on Saturday night, Macedo would go out late for time trials on an extremely slick track, but was still able to time in 18th fastest.

Just narrowly missing the heat race inversion, the Lemoore, CA pilot finished fifth in his heat race to transfer into the 35-lap finale at the Thunderbowl.

On the extremely slick track, Macedo would line up in the 18th spot, and moved forward through the first 10-laps until he was caught up in a six lap wreck, that saw his machine endure extensive damage, and make a trip to the work area.

Able to restart, Macedo’s machine was still pretty banged up, and he would limp across the line with a 17th place finish.

“It was good to have speed, but was pretty frustrating the way things went,” he added. “I really have to thank the Tarlton’s for all of their support, and Paul Baines and my guys for giving me a great car all weekend.”

Tarlton Racing would like to thank Elite Landscape Construction, Tarlton and Son, Inc., WFO Apparel, Executive Auto, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, Corporate America Investments, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2015 season.

ON TAP: Macedo and his Tarlton Racing team will now follow the World of Outlaws to the Stockton Dirt Track on Saturday and Sunday night!
