PETERSEN MEDIA- Making his return to the Silver Dollar Speedway for the first time since mid-June, Mason Moore would have a nice night during the Tyler Wolf Memorial that culminated with him finishing in the sixth position.

“It was our first night with Darin Smith helping us out in the pits, and I think we got off to a good start,” Mason Moore said. “We missed it a little in the feature, but overall I was happy with the speed and how I felt.”

Timing the Coors Light/Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office No. 22 machine in seventh fastest in time trials amongst the 18 cars checked into the pit area, Moore would go on to pick up a heat race win and qualify for the night’s redraw.

With lady luck on his side Friday night, the Princeton, CA wheelman would pull the one pill and line up alongside DJ Netto on the pole for the 25-lap Tyler Wolf Memorial feature event.

Settling into second when the race came to life, Moore would feel pressure from Sean Becker on the race’s fourth lap. Falling back to third on the fifth lap, Moore continued to chase after Becker and Netto who ran ahead of him.

Continuing to hold down the final spot on the podium on what was a racy Silver Dollar Speedway, Moore would the hook up in another battle with another perennial Silver Dollar Speedway favorite, Andy Forsberg. Battling for a couple of laps, Forsberg would get the advantage as Moore slipped back to the fourth.

As the action up front picked up in the closing laps, Moore would actually fall back to seventh at one point as he raced with Bud Kaeding and Bobby McMahan. Able to get back by McMahan, Moore would end his night with a sixth place finish.

“At the end I just couldn’t seem to stick my car like I had been early in the night,” Moore said. “We got to battling with some stout competition there at the end, and we would have liked to keep up a little further forward at the end, but we will take this finish and move forward.”

Moore would like to thank Coors Light, Econo Lube and Tune, Geico Local Office, , LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, ITC Service Group, Saureel, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.
