PETERSEN MEDIA: With the calendar flipping to 2020, Terry, Austin, and Carson McCarl are able to look back at the 2019 racing season and call it a success for all three of them across the board.

With big support from Jetco, Searsboro Telephone, and Deanfield Farms, Carson McCarl was able to form Carson McCarl Racing back in February, and went on to make a big statement in his maiden voyage as an owner.

Picking up two wins in the Knoxville Raceway 360ci division, McCarl put together a brilliant body of work as he would claim the yearlong Championship, making him the only driver to claim a 305ci title and a 360ci title at the historic facility.

Being a start up team, McCarl would make the most of what he had to start the year, as his first win of the season came with an 11 year old Cressman Ford engine.

Able to make one 410 points appearance at the track, Carson McCarl would earn quick time honors before finishing 11th in the feature. Using those notes and seat time, C. McCarl would perform well at the Knoxville Nationals, as he would qualify for the ‘B’ at the biggest race of the year.

To top off a great season on the track, it was also great off the track as Carson got engaged to girlfriend, Peyton Dollansky, truly making 2019 a memorable year.

Austin McCarl too had a strong season in 2019 aboard the Van Baaly/Oldham, Kolthoff Electric TMAC Motorsports No. 17A machine, as well as for TKS Motorsports.

Coming off the 2018 Knoxville Raceway Championship, McCarl looked for a repeat performance, and found himself in the mix for the title until the track’s final event of the season. Coming up a little short of his goal, McCarl would end up third in points trailing Brian Brown, and father Terry on the final rundown.

Picking up and IRA win at the Jackson Motorplex, McCarl would have his elbows up during the Knoxville 360 Nationals as he finished second in the ‘B’, and went on to charge from 22nd to finish 12th and earn Hard Charger honors for the event.

Aside from driving duties, McCarl would also do some good work on the wrenches with TMAC Motorsports, as well as with Country Builders Racing in California.

Teaming up with Destiny Motorsports in 2019, Terry McCarl had a very good year aboard the MonDak Portables/TheSnowPlow.com entry.

Winning six races in six different states during the season, TMAC would pick up his fourth Ronald Laney King of the 360’s Title, his 59th Career Knoxville Raceway 410ci win (3rd All Time), his 2nd career Harry Neitzel Memorial at Dodge Co. Speedway, his first ever win at Texas Motor Speedway with the ASCS National Tour, an NCRA win in Kansas, and an ASCS Warrior Region triumph in Missouri.

Finishing second in Knoxville Raceway points, TMAC also was the All Iowa Points Champion for the decade.

As a family the McCarl’s also accomplished a pair of goals on the year. All three of them qualified for the Knoxville 360 Nationals feature, and the trio each piloted the TMAC Motorsports No. 17A machine to the Sprint Invaders Owners Championship.

With the 2020 season rapidly approaching, TMAC Motorsports, and Carson McCarl Racing are seeking marketing partners for the No. 4, the No. 17A, and the No. 27 entries. Please do not hesitate to reach out if interested.
