Mechanical Issue Hinders Michael Faccinto During Sprint Car Challenge Tour Finale

PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to action on Saturday night in Stockton, CA during the Sprint Car Challenge Tour finale, Michael Faccinto endured a mechanical failure while running inside the Top-10 at The Stockton Dirt Track.

“It was a bummer to have our SCCT season end like that, but it was still a fun night as always with the F&F Racing team,” Michael Faccinto said. “I think we are trying to hopefully get to Merced Speedway in a couple of weeks, but if not, I am happy with how things went during our first season together.”

Taking over driving duties for F&F Racing back in May, Faccinto flirted with a win at The Stockton Dirt Track, and the team returned on Saturday night hoping to match that performance.

Timing the Bushey Finacial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Precision Civil Engineering Inc. backed No. x1 in fourth fastest in his qualifying group, the Hanford, CA driver put himself in the second row of his heat race.

On a cool night in Stockton, CA with moisture in the air, fast conditions made passing tough all night long, and it led Faccinto to a fourth place finish in his heat race.

Moving into the 30-lap finale with the SCCT, Faccinto took the green flag from the 12th starting position and quickly raced into the Top-10. Running inside the Top-10 for the first half of the race, issues on lap 14 forced Faccinto to slow as he made the decision to pull off the racing surface and take his entry back to the pit area as his SCCT came to an early end.

“Unfortunately we had some power steering issues, and with how the track was it was impossible to try and continue on,” Faccinto said. “It wasn’t worth tearing up a car, and hopefully it allows us to sneak another couple of nights in. I really want to thank everyone associated with this team for always working hard and giving me a great opportunity.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Precision Civil Engineering Inc., Lucas Oil, , Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Pacific Highway Rentals, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing is still deciding if they will travel to Merced, CA November 22nd and 23rd.

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-30, Wins-1, Top 5’s-7, Top 10’s-12
