PETERSEN MEDIA- Heading South to hit the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA with the King of the West Series, the uncharacteristically rough and choppy track conditions did not sit well with Moore as he hung on to finish 13th on Saturday night.

“We have had better nights, that is for sure,” Moore said. “The track was pretty rough, and I really just did not handle it well.”

24 cars checked in for the Chris and Brian Faria Memorial, and the Chico, CA driver timed his Coors Light/ITC Service Group/LRB Race Products No. 22 machine in 15th fastest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up fifth in his heat race, ‘Primetime’ would have a very nice start, as he would shoot up to the third spot, as he chased after Willie Croft before crossing the stripe with a third place finish.

Lining up in the eighth row of the feature event, Moore would tip-toe around the tough Thunderbowl Raceway, as he worked his way towards the Top-10. As another competitor bounced through turns three, and four, Moore would find himself with nowhere to go, and slight contact would spin his machine out, and put him to the back of the pack.

From the back, Moore would slowly work his way back forward, as he would close his night out with a 13th place finish.

“It wasn’t a slicked off surface like I have grown accustomed to at Tulare,” Moore added. “It threw a curve ball at us, and I struggled. My guys worked hard all night, and now we will focus on some 360ci races this weekend.”

Mason and his team would like to thank Coors Light, ITC Service Group, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, JRI Shocks, Platinum Powder Coating, Selover Paint and Body, and Moore Insurance Services for their support in 2015.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS- Starts-28, Wins-0, Top-5’s-2, Top 10’s-10

ON TAP: Moore will take on the Civil War Series this weekend starting on Saturday night at the Maryville Raceway in Marysville, CA and on Sunday at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA.
