PETERSEN MEDIA- Hoping to match the success he had at POWRi Speedweek during USAC’s Indiana Midget Week, Parker Price-Miller had a week of ups and downs.

“We had some pretty good speed all week long during IMW, but we just had some bad luck,” he said.

Kicking the week off on Thursday night at the Lincoln Park Speedway after rained washed the first night out, Price-Miller found himself in the 14th spot for the feature event.

When cars fired, Price-Miller’s engine wasn’t running, and he pulled into the work area to have his team check it out.

Making the call for the feature, Price-Miller tagged the rear of the field, for what would end up being a non-stop feature event.

On a track that was extremely heavy and tough to pass on, the Kokomo, IN driver was able to gain ground, as he worked his way up to a 12th place finish at the stripe.

“For not having any yellows, and coming from the back, we were really happy with the way things went after our issues,” he added.

Friday night at the Bloomington Speedway, Price-Miller timed his PPM Titanium Products/Indy Race Parts/Keizer Wheels No. 9p entry in 10th fastest.

Lining up ninth in the feature event, Price-Miller had tremendous speed, as he worked his way up to the fourth spot on the lightning fast ¼ mile. In the closing laps of the race, Price-Miller’s right-ear began to lose air pressure, and he lost a few spots, but was able to salvage a ninth place finish out of it.

On Saturday night, the youngster’s night was over before it started as he bicycled in time trials, and the impact broke his frame, and he did not get to race.

Sunday night saw the week come to a close at the Kokomo Speedway, and a 28th quickest effort in time trials, put him and his team behind the eight ball a bit.

After not getting out of his heat, Price-Miller lined up 13th in the B, and working his way up to the seventh spot at the finish, he had missed the transfer by just one spot.

Utilizing a provisional, Price-Miller tagged the rear of the field and rolled off in the 26th spot.

On the always exciting Kokomo Speedway, Price-Miller again was able to make some noise from the back, as he closed out his week with a 16th place finish.

“We just didn’t have things going our way,” he said. “We had some really good speed, but it was just one of those weeks. I have to thank everyone who worked so hard all week. Hopefully we can shake some of this luck in the coming races.”

Price-Miller and his team would like to thank PPM Titanium Products, Indy Race Parts, Keizer Wheels, CSI Shocks, Select Equipment, Wesmar Racing Engines, Toyota, Toyota TRD, and Triple X Race Components for their continued support.

2014 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-29, Wins-1, Top 5’s-6, Top 10’s-12.

ON TAP: Price-Miller will look over some schedules before deciding where his next race will be.
