PETERSEN MEDIA- A three race week for Cobble Hill, BC driver, Robbie Price, saw the 17-year-old driver charge his way to a pair of Top-10 finishes after a crash on Wednesday night at the Placerville Speedway.

“It was an up and down week,” Price explained. “We kind of got crashed in the B on Wednesday night, and on Friday and Saturday I didn’t time in very well but we raced a lot better and picked up a couple of Top-10’s.

Going to battle with the Civil War Series on Friday night in Chico, CA, Price would time his Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing/Rod End Supply No. 21 machine in 31st fastest amongst the 43 cars checked into the pit area.

From his eighth starting spot in his heat race, Price had his elbows up as he raced his way up to the fourth spot which earned him a spot into the 30-lap A Main event.

Though he was deep on the gird for the ‘A’, Price continued to strut his stuff just as he did in the heat this time from the 17th starting position. Able to move around on the slick, and rough, surface, Price was able to end his night on a high note as he finished seventh.

Heading to the Marysville Raceway on Saturday night for another night of racing, Price would again get off to a slower than desired start as he timed in 26th fastest, and again put himself into a hole going into his heat race.

Price would again show his ressillence just as he did the night before. From the back of the pack, Price had his elbows up in the Widlight Photography/Shark powered No. 21p machine as he raced his way to a fourth place finish and into the A Main.

Gridding the field from the ninth row for the 25-lap A Main, a slick and narrow surface made things tough in traffic but Price was able to show some patience as he worked his way forward.

Able to take what he was given at times, Price would rally and again finish in the seventh spot.

“I think if I don’t turn in two pretty terrible qualifying efforts we possibly could have been even better, but I am happy with how we raced Friday and Saturday night,” Price added. “It is good to get some solid laps in, and we will continue to build on this weekend.”

Price and his team would like to thank Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Wildlight Photography, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2016 season.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS- Starts-10, Wins-0, Top-5’s-0, Top 10’s-2
