Restart Tangle Hinders Henry and McColloch Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA: Looking to shake off some bad luck towards the end of the feature event last week in Placerville, CA, Kalib Henry and McColloch Motorsports checked in at Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night only to see the bad luck follow them as a restart tangle during the feature event would cut Henry’s night short.

“It has been a rough couple of nights for us, but this team keeps digging, and we will try to put it all behind us as we ready for Chico, CA this weekend,” Kalib Henry said. “Thanks to the McColloch’s for their constant hard work.”

With 26 cars checked in for the second round of Sprint Car Challenge Tour action, the Mather, CA driver timed the McColloch’s RV Repair/Express Sewer/Davis Truck Painting machine in fourth fastest in time trials.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Henry would spin his tires in the grease, and it would result in lost track position. Finishing fifth in the race, Henry would move into the feature event where he would take the green flag from the 17th starting position.

As the night went on, and the air continued to hover over the track with a bit of moisture in it, the track would stay hooked up and would be extremely fast for the 35-lap feature event.

When the race came to life, Henry had troubles working his way forward through the fray with cars all over the Petaluma Speedway gumbo.

With the race’s first nine laps clicking off with no issue, a lap nine restart would see contact with another car ensue, causing problems for Henry’s mount. Losing a spot initially for the issue, Henry would pull off a few laps later with damage and it would end his night.

“We have a fast car, just need to have some better luck,” Henry said. “Looking forward to getting to Chico this weekend for two nights of action.”

McColloch Motorsports would like to thank McColloch’s RV Repair, Express Sewer and Drain, Davis Truck Painting, Driven Homes, Inc., ART Speed Equipment, RE Technologies, Hansen Machine, ADCO Driveline, and Gary Morgan Graphics for their continued support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts: 3, Wins: 0, Top-5’s: 1, Top-10’s- 1

ON TAP: McColloch Motorsports and Henry get right back to racing action this weekend in Chico, CA.
