PETERSEN MEDIA- Not having the desired trip to the state of California as of yet, Joey Saldana is hoping to put a string of tough nights behind him when the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returns to the Calistoga Speedway in Calistoga, CA this Saturday and Sunday night.
“It has not been the trip out to California that we had hoped for, but hopefully we can redeem ourselves this weekend in Calistoga, CA,” Saldana said.
Coming into this weekend after a Top-10 run at the Ocean Speedway on Friday night and a 12th place run at the Silver Dollar Speedway on Saturday night, Saldana is looking forward to the scenic ½ mile speedway that has been good to him over the years.
During the 2015 swing, Saldana was able to pick up a pair of Top-10 finishes at the Calistoga Speedway during this event, and back in 2014 the Brownsburg, IN native pocketed two Top-Five finishes.
Fresh off of a trio of California bullrings, Saldana and company are looking forward to getting to the Calistoga Speedway and stretching their legs.
“Calistoga is a track that has been pretty good to me over the years, and with our California trip coming to an end, hopefully we can get this Roth Motorsports machine up front and contending for a win,” Saldana added. “Dennis and Teresa Roth do so much for this team and the sport of racing, we want nothing more then to get to victory lane at least once in their home state.”
