Steven Tiner Second With C&M Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA- Climbing aboard the potent C&M Motorsports No. 7c on Saturday night in Placerville, CA, Steven Tiner put together a very strong night that saw him come home with a second place finish.

“I have to thank Cody and Mandi for giving me the opportunity to come out and run their car on Saturday night,” Steven Tiner said. “It was a really last minute deal, and I am happy we got to have some fun and put it on the podium.”

Tiner came out swinging on Saturday night as he picked up quick time honors amongst the 23 cars entered into the event aboard the Moorefield Construction, Inc./Hollister Auto Parts/Dassel’s Petroleum backed No. 7c machine.

Just needing to transfer through his heat race to earn a spot in the redraw, Tiner would just that as his second place finish would then lead him to drawing the three pill.

Taking the green flag from the second row, Tiner would find himself in the third position as he chased after Jodie Robinson and Andy Forsberg early in the feature event.

With his car on the tight side during the opening laps, Tiner would do what he could to weather the storm as he waited for the car to come to him late in the race when it mattered the most.

Moving into second just past the race’s halfway point, Tiner would continue to stalk Forsberg who was now out front.

Getting close in traffic, a couple of late stoppages would put the leaders in open track and Tiner couldn’t do anything with Forsberg and closed his night out with a second place finish.

“It was a pleasure to drive the C&M Motorsports car, and it goes to show how strong their program is,” Tiner said. “I am a terrible qualifier and Saturday I managed to time in quick time and really set our night up. We came up one spot short, but still a lot of fun up on the hill.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank Moorefield Construction, Inc., Hollister Auto Parts, Dassel’s Petroleum, PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, Alturas Tires, and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
