PETERSEN MEDIA: Saturday night at Placerville Speedway was simply a tough night for Steven Tiner. Involved in a couple of on track incident’s Tiner would eventually be scored with a 17th place finish after his night came to an end on the 15h lap.

“It was just a tough night,” Steven Tiner said. “We were involved in quite a few incidents and our night finally came to an end on the 15th lap.”

Tiner opened his Saturday night up by timing the Larry Davis Farms/Wright Process Systems/Fisher Racing Engines backed entry in 13th quickest in qualifying time trials.

Taking the green flag from the third row in heat race competition, the Visalia, CA resident would race his way to a fifth place finish which would move him into the 25-lap feature event.

Lining up 13th in the feature Tiner would work his way towards the Top-10 until he was involved in a multi car accident in turn-two that saw him go to the work area. Restarting from the back of the pack, Tiner would find himself back in 18th.

A lap seven restart would then see Tiner come into contact with a competitors right-rear and it would see him get upside down though it would not bring his night to an end.

With damage to his top-wing, Tiner would restart from the back of the pack again and actually begina working his way forward. Getting back up into 11th, Tiner would actually settle in 10t on the 15th lap before his top wing would finally come apart and his night would come to an end.

“Wrong place at the wrong time early in the race and it really dictated how our night went,” Tiner said. “We got going pretty good there after we got upside down, but it wasn’t in the cards tonight.”

Steven and his Steven Tiner Racing team would like to thank Larry Davis Farms, Wright Process Systems, Fisher Racing Engines, SRP, Wilwood, FSR, XYZ Machine, DMI, Dan Olson Race Products, HRP, Kevin Sharrah Designs, Prior Engineering, B&B Racing Engines, ART, System One Pro Ignition, Sweet Manufacturing, Schoenfeld, and Roseville Precision for their continued support.
