PETERSEN MEDIA- With three World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races on tap over the last week, Joey Saldana and his Roth Motorsports team would pick up a trio of Top-10 finishes.

“Though we have already picked up a win with a couple of new crew members, we are still getting acclimated, but I think were heading the right direction,” Joey Saldana said.

Kicking the week off at the Hartford Speedway last Wednesday night, Saldana would open things up by timing 14th fastest during qualifying time trials.

Lining up in the third row of his heat race, Saldana would finish in the fifth spot and put the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/Roth Investments backed entry in the seventh row for the feature event.

Continuing to work on his machine, Saldana would have a nice run in the 25-lap feature event. Working his way forward in the high tempo feature event, the ‘Brownsburg Bullet’ would get up to the ninth spot at the line.

Saturday night saw the series travel to the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH for one final showing in 2016. Timing in third fastest in his qualifying flight, Saldana would finish in the third spot during heat race action, placing him in the fifth row for the feature event.

During a feature event that took a bit to get going, Saldana was able to move forward once things settled into a fast paced groove. Racing in the Top-10 during the duration of the race, Saldana would end the night with a sixth place finish.

The busy week of racing would come to a close on Saturday night at the Lernerville Speedway for the Commonwealth Clash. Timing in fourth fastest amongst the 36 cars entered in the event, Saldana would finish second in his heat race and move into the Dash.

With the draw not going his way, Saldana would find himself in the eighth starting spot and an eighth place finish would line him up in the fourth row of the feature.

From his eighth starting spot, Saldana would race with Daryn Pittman and Shane Stewart for much of the race as the trio battled for position in the Top-10. When the race came to a close, Saldana would find himself taking the checkered flag with a seventh place finish.

“Our goal is to win races for Dennis and Teresa Roth, and to win Outlaw races is tough,” Saldana added. “They give us great equipment, and we are getting better. The National Open is a huge show this week, and we are looking forward to it.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, Southern Pacific Farms, 3H Cattle,  Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2016.

ON TAP: The Roth Motorsports team will be in action at the Williams Grove Speedway this Thursday-Saturday for the National Open.
