Sean Becker’s Strong Night Dashed With Late Race Contact

PETERSEN MEDIA- Sean Becker and the Bjork Motorsports team had a very strong run going at Antioch Speedway on Saturday night until late contact while battling for the lead took Becker out of contention.

“I am so gutted for this team that our night ended the way it did,” Sean Becker said. “Our car was on rails in the feature event, and I only have myself to blame for poor execution on restart that led to a destroyed racecar.”

Checking back in with the NARC series on Saturday night after a bit of a hiatus, Becker timed the Bjork Construction/Kaeding Performance backed No. 7B in eight fastest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Becker finished second which just narrowly had him missing the dash as he was slated to start the green flag from the seventh starting position.

With issues pre race leading to Justin Sanders missing the call, Becker moved into the sixth starting position as he chased after his first win of the 2025 season.

When the race finally came to life, Becker worked into the fourth position by the third lap and was up into third on the 11th circuit. With a very strong car underneath him, Becker mad ea move on the 14th lap to race into the lead as he battle with DJ Netto.

Out front, Netto didn’t go away early as the two drivers fought hard for the top spot with Becker able to keep him at bay for six laps. On the 20th lap, slight contact amidst a torrid battle saw Becker’s front end collapse and as he slowed contact from another car caused even more damage and brought the Shark’s night to an abrupt end.

“We definitely had a race winning car, and this team deserved to be in victory lane,” Becker added. “I will continue to strive to be better and get us all on top of that podium soon.”

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-5, Wins-0, Top 5’s- 1, Top-10’s- 4

ON TAP: Becker and team are set for two KWS/NARC races this weekend as they will be at Ocean Speedway on Friday night and Thunderbowl Raceway on Saturday.
