PETERSEN MEDIA: Following a frustrating weekend at both the Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA and the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA, DJ Netto is looking forward to returning to action this weekend at the Stockton Dirt Track with the King of the West Series.

“We had strong cars on both nights last week, but unfortuatnely we just cannot seem to catch a break right now,” DJ Netto explained. “My guys are doing a great job night in and night out, and hopefully some things will start to go our way.”

Friday night at the Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA during a 360ci event, Netto has an extremely strong Netto Ag/Penny Newman Grain/Kaeding Performance backed hotrod, but an early issue forced him to the back of the pack in the race’s early going.

From 18th, Netto would show just how strong his car was as he worked around the slick 3/8 mile track to perfection as he clawed his way back up to finish fifth when the checkered flag flew.

Bolting his 410ci power plant in on Saturday, Netto and company would head to the exciting Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA to resume action with the King of the West 410ci Series.

Having some issues preventing him from hot lapping, the Hanford, CA driver would time in 11th fastest and find his Shell Rotella T6/Van De Pol Enterprises machine on the front row of his heat race.

Getting penalized on the initial start as the official ruled he jumped, Netto would finish in the fourth spot, which lined him up in the sixth spot for the A main. On a very tricky surface Saturday night, Netto would work his way forward as he again got up as high as the fifth spot, until a yellow would deter his passing and he would be put back in seventh.

As the race went on, yellow’s would simply not fall Netto’s way as he looked to make up ground and would end up holding on to finish seventh.

“Saturday night was just a night where we couldn’t catch any breaks,” Netto added. “We had a Top-Five car for sure, but anytime we would make a pass or have a fun a caution would revert us back a lap or stop our pace. I am really looking forward to Saturday night, and hope we can have a great night because my guys deserve it.”

DJ and his Netto Racing team would like to thank Netto Agriculture, Penny Newman Grain, Kaeding Performance, Shell Rotella T6, and Van De Pol Enterprises for their support in 2016.

ON TAP: Netto will be back in action this Saturday night at the Stockton Dirt Track.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-21, Wins-0, Top 5’s-2, Top 10’s-7
