Prices Overcomes Early Drama To Finish Sixth at Skagit Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Robbie Price can sum up Saturday’s event in Alger, WA as eventful. Having an axle fail in his heat race, Price and company would work diligently in the pit area and get back on track for the feature event where he would come away with a sixth place finish.

“It ended up being a pretty good night for the cards we were dealt,” Price said. “We had a tough night, the track was a little hooked up, so to come away with a sixth place finish is just fine.”

Setting the standard in qualifying time trials, Price would earn quick time honors aboard the Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Wheeler Paint Works/Rod End Supply No. 21 machine.

Lining up n the second row of his heat race, Price would work his way into the third spot when his rear axle would snap going into turn one. Going for a wild ride, Price would walk away with no injuries, but the race to get his car back for the feature would be on.

Able to get everything buttoned up, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would make the call for the feature event where he took the green flag from the 11th starting position.

On this night, the Skagit Speedway would stay hooked up during the entire night, and passing would be tough on the ultra fast surface. Though starting 11th, Price would show patience as track position was tough to come by.

Working his way forward quietly, Price would work his way towards the Top-Five when the race drew to an end as he would finish in the sixth spot.

“I have to thank everyone who helped us out on getting our car back together after the heat race,” Price said. “Like I said, it was a tough night, but overall it feels good to bounce back and come away with a sixth place finish.”

Price and his team would like to thank Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Wheeler Paint Works, Rod End Supply, Wildlight Photography, Tru Square, and Shark Racing Engines for their support during the 2017 season.
