PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting one more night of racing in at Skagit Speedway before this weekend’s World of Outlaws event, Robbie Price would look sharp as he recorded a second place finish.
“I had a car that was capable of winning, but I made one mistake and Colton Heath didn’t make any and we ran second,” Robbie Price said.
Timing the Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Wheeler Paint Works/Rod End Supply backed No. 21p machine in sixth quickest in qualifying time trials, Price would find himself on the front row of his heat race.
Taking advantage of a prime starting position, Price would take care of business as he led the way to take home the heat race win, which would place him on the front row of the feature event.
When the field received the green flag, Price would get into the infield, and it would result in him falling all the way back to fourth in the running order. Back in fourth, Price was very patient as he had a good enough car to race his way back to the front.
Using the high-side of the speedway, Price had his elbows up as he was able to get by Jayme Barnes and take over the second position as he pursued race leader, Colton Heath.
Getting up to Heath, Price would stalk him looking for a way by. Trying everything he could to get around, Price would close his night out with a second place finish.
“It was good to get back in the big car, and run well again,” Price said. “We have a big weekend in front of us with the World of Outlaws coming to town, and I would really like to run well against them.”
