PETERSEN MEDIA- In action on two occasions over the Memorial Day Weekend, Joey Saldana and his Roth Motorsports team picked up two Top-10 finishes with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ as the series invaded the Charlotte Dirt Track and the Lawrenceburg Speedway.

“We were able to hang inside the Top-10, but we just weren’t quite where we needed to be all weekend long,” Saldana said.

Friday night at the Charlotte Dirt Track, Saldana would open his night up by timing the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/Roth Investments machine in second quickest in time trials.

Picking up the heat race win, the dash inversion draw was not kind to the Brownsburg, IN driver as he would line up in the fifth spot and finish in the sixth spot.

From the third row of the feature event, Saldana seemed would get off to a good start as he would work his way up to the second spot on an extremely slick racing surface. Chasing after Shane Stewart, Saldana would slowly fall back through the field as a deflating right rear tire would make things tough on him and he would slip back finish in the eighth spot.

Heading to Lawrenceburg, IN on Monday night, Saldana earned his eighth quick time award of the season and would capitalize on the heat race starting position as he picked up the win.

Another tough dash inversion would see Saldana line up in the eighth starting position and finish in the seventh spot to put him on the inside of the fourth row for the 35-lap A Main event.

On the ever changing track conditions on Monday night, Salanda would hold strong in the Top-10 as he battled with Christopher Bell and Brad Sweet during most of the A Main event.

Unable to get his Roth Motorsports machine moving forward like he had hoped, Saldana would close his weekend out with a 10th place finish.

“It really wasn’t the weekend we wanted for this Dennis and Teresa Roth backed team, but we were able to continue to show some really good speed early in the night,” Saldana said. “We will continue to work hard and hopefully get this car back up front this weekend for the Roth Family.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, 3H Cattle,  Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2016.
