Mariah Ede 11th with NARC in Tulare, CA

PETERSEN MEDIA: Saturday night in Tulare, CA, Mariah Ede was very patient. Rebounding from a tough qualifying effort, Ede and her team went to work and when the feature event drew to a close, she closed her night out with an 11thplace finish.

“Our night started out great with a really fast car in warm ups, but with how windy it was we knew the track would get very slick as the night moved on,” Ede said. “We didn’t think it would change so drastically from hot laps to qualifying and it definitely bit us.”

Timing the Pacific Boring/M&L Plumbing/Circle J5 Ranch backed No. 14 entry in 19th fastest, the Fresno, CA driver found herself in an early hole.

Finishing seventh in her heat race, Ede still didn’t feel great and her Mariah Ede Racing team continued to go to work to accommodate for the track surface.

Lining up 19th on the starting grid, Ede found herself collected in a tangle when the race went green, and was forced to the work area. With minimal damage on her mount, she was back on her way to tag the tail for the ensuing restart.

When the race got going, Ede felt very racy as she began working her way forward around the Thunderbowl Raceway surface. Using a great restart on the seventh lap, Ede made her way into the Top-10 as he got up to eighth before moving in seventh on the 11th lap.

Just as good as the lap seven restart went for her, a restart on lap 13 saw her shuffle back to 11th as the track started to take rubber. Settling into 11th, Ede briefly fell back to 12th with nine markers left in the race, but worked her way back into 11th on the 27th lap which is where she went on to finish.

“I am really thankful that my team worked so hard, and gave me a really good car in the feature,” Ede said. “We had a good balance and we were able to pass quite a few cars.”

Mariah Ede and the Mariah Ede Racing team would like to thank Pacific Boring, M&L Plumbing, Circle J5 Ranch, FK Rod Ends, and MetTec Titanium for their support.
