PETERSEN MEDIA- Wrapping up his first full season on pavement, Robbie Price would finish seventh at the Meridian Speedway in Meridian, ID which would put him second in the final season long point standings.
“It was a good night of racing for our team,” Price said. “I think we could have had a little better result, but we got a flat during a late red and had to pit.”
Timing in fastest in time trials, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would finish third in the trophy dash before picking up a second place finish during his heat race.
Lining up fifth in the feature event, Price would find himself in the sixth spot as the race got going. Hitting his marks lap after lap, Price would continue to run in the sixth spot until the red flag flew late in the feature event.
With a tire on his machine going low, Price would be forced to take a trip to the work area to change tires, but he would be relegated to the back of the pack. With fresh rubber on his machine, Price was able to move through the field.
Able to quickly race his way back into the Top-10, Price would work his way back up to the seventh spot before the checkered flag flew on the race and on the NSRA season.
With his seventh place finish, Price would end up finishing second in series points.
“From not knowing if we were going to be able to run the season just a few days before things kicked off to picking up a couple of wins and finishing second in the standings is pretty cool,” Price added. “I have to thank everyone associated with this team for making it possible.”
