PETERSEN MEDIA- Going to battle with the World of Outlaws in Placerville, CA on Wednesday night, Jonathan Allard’s night would come to a violent end as he was involved in a wreck on lap one that saw his machine flip wildly in turn one.
“I got off to a pretty good start and passed a couple of cars, but there was some contact in turn one and we went for a pretty good ride,” Allard said.
Timing the Tri-C Manufacturing/Walker Performance Filtration/ButlerBuilt No. 3c in 20th fastest during qualifying time trials, JA had a nice run in his heat race that saw him earn a fourth place finish.
With his heat race finish, Allard would safely move into the 40-lap feature event where he would find himself starting in the 16th position.
As the race came to life, Allard would pick up a couple spots using the high-side of the speedway. Just completing lap one, Allard would look for more getting into turn one, but contact ensued and his machine would flip hard. Though he would climb out of the wreckage uninjured, his night would be finished.
“It was certainly a racing deal that caused us to get upside down,” Allard said. “It is unfortunate to tear up parts, but luckily the safety equipment did it’s job. I have to thank my guys for their hard work, and hopefully our luck will turn.”
